Lorein Brightwell is the Founder and Principal Consultant of PLB Resources, with particular strengths in strategic, as well as, risk management.
HR is Lorein's expertise and her passion. Having a business degree and being a businesswoman, Lorein and her equally experienced associates assist clients beyond HR, as needed. PLB Resources provides proven business referrals for its clients to assist in multiple areas of business such as, but not limited to: employment attorneys, CPAs, insurance brokers, payroll services, business coaches, etc. PLB Resources offers services in Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, and Farsi.
As a United States Marine Corps (USMC) veteran, Lorein served as a Personnel Chief and continued on with her career in HR Management. She earned, with honors, her Business Management degree with a concentration in Industrial Relations. Lorein holds multiple professional certifications in Human Resource Management, which she maintains with continuing education and labor law updates. She has served as a university adjunct faculty member in her field, and has been a facilitator for many other HR practitioners in their respective coursework as they prepared for their own professional certification exams.
Lorein has more than 35 years of experience and expertise; to include more than 15 years as a successful independent HR consultant. She has had the responsibility of establishing and managing full-service, corporate HR departments for local and multi-state employers, to include an Inc. 500 company in Irvine, California. In addition to her general HR expertise, she is particularly savvy in California employment regulations. She has multi-state experience in the public and private sectors in providing HR leadership for organizations, ranging in size from five to 4,000 employees. She has provided strategic HR leadership for profit and not-for-profit organizations in a variety of industries such as, but not limited to: biomedical and medical research, manufacturing, garment/fashion, financial services, healthcare, agricultural, education, cannabis, municipality/public works, veterinary, and a variety of service industries with union and non-union employees.
